out there still that have a relationship with the Lord

and actually practice what they preach.

i had previously seen the sexual healing video
when it only had about 200 views,

which led me to watch his other videos too.

i love that they have so many views now!

and twitter when i first saw it, and forget to share

wishin' i was in nawlins.

the national championship game is tomorrow

in good old NOLA, and oh what i'd give to be there.

i'm a die hard auburn fan,

but that doesn't matter..

if i could, i'd be there in a heartbeat.

yes, i posted that picture.

only because bama fans last year posted this -

i'm really having a hard time deciding on if i want bama or LSU to win.

if you're from the south, you know auburn and bama are HUGE rivals.

so, i feel i should go with LSU.. because i have family down in NOLA.

yet, it'd also be cool to keep the national championship in the state this year too.

so, i'm a little stumped.

i guess we'll see who i root for once the game gets going,

and whether or not my family (alabama fans!) are being obnoxious.

either way,

my auburn tigers are still the national champions..

for one more day!

WAR EAGLE.

first job jitters

i start my first job tomorrow.

i've worked at my step family's golf course, 

but that doesn't really count.

it's a tanning job,

so most people are going to be like psh..

but y'all my anxiety is in full swing.

SO NERVOUS.

my brother is such a cutie-pie.

when i went to interview, i was just as nervous.

(it's the anxiety disorder)

and my sweet little brother said,

"mal, they would be dumb not to hire you.

you're the tannest person they'll ever get."

i love him.

i'm hoping my good genes and nice tan

will convince people that i know what i'm doing.

i'll give you the run down tomorrow of how it goes.

side note:

i still haven't decided upon resolutions or a bucket list..

i'll decide tomorrow and post two of them.

new year resolution #1

i've still yet to decide whether i want to do "new year's resolutions"

or a bucket list for the year that will help me cross off things from my main bucket list.

however, while i am in the deciding period.

i figured i'd still share with y'all something that fits into both topics
that i plan on fulfilling this year.

on my main bucket list is to read all the works in the LDS scriptures

(book of mormon, doctrine & covenants, old testament, new testament)

this is something i truly want to accomplish.

i know that it will help me draw immensely closer to the Lord
as well as help me become much more knowledgable.

if one of the twelve apostles says to do it,

then you can't go wrong.

so, this is resolution/bucket list item one for this year.

luckily, my friend derrick is doing it too.

that way, i'm going to be accountable to stick with it.

to boost our success rate,
i made schedules that tell what to read..
FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR!

so, that we can stay on track and get finished.

hello, 2012.

once upon a time, i was that southern girl in a western world who actually wrote on her blog. 

pointless posts about nothing that i found to be too exciting; however, i somehow got almost fifty cute followers that must have found me semi-entertaining. (thanks, y'all!) yet.. life got in the way, and i abandoned the entire blog world. i'm talking like; no posting, no blog stalking, NOTHING. crazy, right?

but have no fear, i'm back in action!

it's a new year, so it's a new me.

i have a handful of resolutions that i'll share with y'all this week.

one a day for the entire week. 

yes, i have seven. 

okay.. not really,

but now i feel like i need to just so that i can post every day.

really, i'm thinking i want to do a "new year bucket list"

what do y'all think about that idea?

since i'm already sucking it up at blogging.

teeeej, it's your birthday!

third day into october and already another friend's birthday.. sheesh.

today's birthday belongs to.... TJ!

i can't explain how weird it was to write tj, because i always say "teej".. hah.

there's only a handful of people from back home that i talk to consistently;

however, teej is one of them.. which is weird, because we weren't even like

really friends or anything when i still lived back home. but yeah, anyways.

teej's 20th birthday is today,

so here's some reasons why he deserves to have a great birthday:

1. he is easily one of the nicest guys that i know.

2. he talks to me every single day.. even when he's probably sick of me.

3. he is a gym rat, which is inspiring me to be like him one day.

4. he knows how big of a nerd i am but still claims me as a friend.

5. he gets stuck hearing me rant about everything.. bless his heart.

those are just a few reasons why, but i seriously can't say enough good things about, teej.. because he's sincerely just one of the few good guys out there.

don't let the good things that've been said and the fact that he's a cutie get you too hooked on him, though.. i mean - if you live in alabama, you can snatch him up for now! but just don't go getting too attached or anything, because he's already my future husband and the punisher of our children.. sorry to be the bearer of bad news, ladies. haaha.

anyways. since i'm 2,000 miles away, a blog post will have to do. however, here's a few virtual presents.

here's a "good luck on your driver's license" birthday card, a cookie cake (google didn't have a miami one!), and your "happy 15th birthday" banner! just like i said that i had for you, haah.

anyways.. i hope you have a wonderful birthday, teej!

today is this chica's 21st birthday! can you say, parrrrrrtaaaayyy?
well.. not for real, because it's sunday in utah on general conference weekend.

but i figured that i would give her a birthday blog post; even if she jokes on me every single day, makes me sit in the back of every single class, gets mad when i tell her "bless you" after she sneezes, had me plan her entire schedule around mine (so she'd actually come to class), eats bacon cheeseburgers in front of me when i'm trying to eat healthy, has me help her cheat on her nutrition quizzes, and hasn't even been my friend for a whole year.

so, here's some reasons on why she deserves a beyond wonderful birthday:

1. she has claimed me as a friend, when no one else in utah will.
2. she is one of the only girls i know that loves football as much as me.
3. she saves me a seat every day in class, so homegirls don't steal it.
4. she jokes on people just as much as i do.. (which maybe i shouldn't admit!)
5. she doesn't judge me when i tell her the hottest boys in her high school.
6. she accepts me.. like, that i am a serious nerd and overachiever.

i could probably make up weird reasons why forever.. but the main reason is, she's my only friend here. so, i have to be nice, right? just kidding. haaha. but really, even though we're probably highly obnoxious around each other to everyone else in our classes, i'm glad she's my friend.


so.. happy 21st birthday, whit! i hope it's great, and i'll see your face tomorrow.

side note: since we have no pictures together, dumb. i looked through all her facebook pictures to find one that truly let her personality shine.. the one i chose didn't even fully grasp it, though.

however, the one on the right reflects her better.
hahahhaa. i had to. i'm sorry.

fall bucket list.

it's finally been made now!

i am sorta, kinda, really a homebody.
so, the success of this list is going to weigh heavily on people making me!
therefore, i hope some of my friends will drag me to do them.

we'll see how many i can get done before winter.

flashback birthdays

what do my ex best friend, ex boyfriend, and one of my ex best guy friends have in common?

yes, we don't talk anymore.. but that's not what i was getting at.
yes.. ironically, they all have the same birthday!

so, throughout this week - i've been having a battle with myself on if i'll break the
awkwardness between me and each of them just to tell them happy birthday.

anyways, long story short.

i let my pride take a backseat..
i told my ex best friend, ex boyfriend, and ex best guy friend happy birthday!

and two out of three sent replies.. phew.

we'll see if the other one comes around before the day is over, haah.

anyways,
i just thought i'd share my ironic little situation with y'all.

i went to see the lion king in 3D, tonight.
i sang along to every single song.

i did shed quite a few tears.
but no, i do not have any shame in it.

just because it came out in 3D now,
doesn't mean that it wasn't our
(90's kids!) generation's movie first..

i actually think there were more older kids
in the movie than there were four year olds.
which made me feel better about myself.

anyways, put your pride away and go see it!

i'll go ahead and remind you, though.

it's really sad.
like, that get so choked up you can't talk kinda sad.
at least for me..
which i maybe shouldn't admit that, though.
because i might just be a wimp.

but go see it.. i'd recommend at matinee prices, though.. because $10.50 for a movie is ridiculous.
i think it was only like $3.50 when it came out back in the day. i almost asked for the 90's kid discount.
but i doubt it would've flied with this little ticket counter man. so, one of y'all should ask instead!

high school reunion.

okay, so i haven't quite reached my

REAL high school reunion..

considering i only graduated 2 years ago.

however, i did meet up with some high school friends.

we went to eat at outback and chit chatted for hours.

it was a nice little reunion, i must say.

true life: i am a youtube addict.

i spend countless hours looking at videos on youtube,
 because the possibilities of what you'll come across are endless.

as much as i enjoy seeing babies giggle with deep laughs,
people do insane stunts and then bust them,
really talented people sing better than the real artist,
and random auditions of america's got talent;
there's something that i enjoy so much more.

coming across a youtube video randomly
and realize that you know the person in it is priceless.

let me tell you, i could not stop laughing when i saw this.

so, i was sure to post on his facebook almost immediately
to show that i found this little treasure and share with other
friends of his that may be missing out on it.

and i am going to marry him!

the past week i have been watching prison break(which needs a whole post on it's own!)



and this handsome man is the main character!



obviously, he's about as good looking at they get..
those eyes, that smirk, and that buzzed head are perfection.
the chiseled jawline, incredible style, and tan aren't bad either.

however, that's not the only reason i plan to become mrs. mallory miller!
brit says "mallory miller" makes me sound famous. hahaha.

i've spent a little too much time googling him;
interviews, pictures, random facts,
and yano stalker kind of stuff..
like his address, phone number, yada yada.
kidding.

but after hours of gawking over him and these interviews,
i decided to share with y'all just why i want him.

then go ahead and leave, because he's mine.

Well I don’t, hence me still being single, I think.
To be honest, I find going out pretty scary and intimidating.

Yeah, I'd like to think I am.
I really try hard to make a girl feel comfortable and I treat her like a lady,
and if I see a woman carrying a lot of groceries,
I will always stop to help her out.

I'm a private person, but that implies that I'm sitting on a mountain of secrets.
The fact is, I'm a fairly quiet person.  I have to laugh internally when I'm
asked in interviews what nightspots I like to hit.
I just don't have answers for those questions.
So sometimes I make them up.

I'm kind of a dork.
I don't have much game.
I'm not particularly comfortable in bars or clubs.
I much prefer being home playing Scrabble,
having dinner with a couple friends,  going to see a movie,
or losing a whole weekend to Season 14 of Law and Order or The Simpsons.

i'm a dork too, and my lack of game is sad.
clubs aren't my thing, i'm a homebody.

we're so much alike i can't stand it.
minus the fact that he's 20 days older than my dad,
which makes him 19 years and 1 day older than me. yes, he was born on june 2nd (the day before my birthday!)AND
minus the fact that he's drop dead gorgeous,
but maybe he needs an average human like me to marry.

i've been telling my friends and family about him for a week.

many of them just laugh at me, because they don't understand
my seriousness about this whole ordeal.

but brit and i discussed this marriage the other day..and she totally understood and supported it, haaha.

and how i respect that he's a dork.
