• finding a bathing suit that i absolutely adore.
• football season - 'specially when auburn beats alabama.
• reading journals from years ago.
• snuggling in bed with apple cider and a good book.
• digging my toes in the sand.
• randomly hearing from old friends.
• planning how i'll decorate my future kindergarten class.
• taking super long naps.
• forehead kisses from someone i like.
• laughing until my stomach cramps and i can't breathe.
• songs with lyrics that explain exactly how i feel.
• long talks with my daddy.
• checking everything off of my to-do list.
• old songs that bring back lots of memories.

      what  makes you happy?

you see that girl up there?

well, she became my best friend in third grade.

we were together every waking hour

throughout elementary school..

we had our ups and downs over the years,

but we always ended up being best friends again.

once high school rolled around,

we were back together every waking hour..

except playing neopets was replaced with sending quotes

back and forth, eating cheese dip and ruffle chips

on her couch was replaced with late night trips to wendy's

for bacon cheeseburgers and baked potatoes, bike rides turned into

driving around town singing songs at the top of our lungs and crying,

playing sims turned into facebook stalking,

but the one thing that stayed the same was we still

goofed off together nonstop, she was there when i needed someone,

and she was the very best friend that i could ever ask for.

well, twelve years later.. 

something has happened that has me in tears.

SHE'S ENGAGED!

(hope i didn't scare y'all there or anything.)

this popped up on my news feed (thanks ole' facebook)

and the tears started streaming down my face.

there's no way to explain how excited i am for her..

she's had three serious relationships

and i was there when the other two ended.

we shed lots of tears and overplayed this song.

so, i'm so glad to see that it's only happy tears this time.

she deserves the very best, and i know jared is great for her.

i wish more than anything that i was there, really.. i do!

i feel like i don't even know the guy that she's marrying,

except for meeting one time when i was visiting back home.

but i know they're perfect for each other

and she's happy, which is all that matters!

it's crazy to think about, though..

i feel like we were just eight years olds playing M.A.S.H

and now she's going to be married?

my goofy brace-face brit brat has grown up..

i guess we both have, but more so her,

because SHE'S ENGAGED!

but again, i'm so happy for her and jared..

and i love my long time best friend to pieces!

which made me want to be BFF with her even more than before..

it also inspired me to do a similar type of post, so.. here we go!

my first and last name initals are ME!

i was born and raised in alabama,

but i have pretty much no accent.

if it's raining outside, i'll sleep so good.

backrubs are my favorite.

i am obsessed with peacoats and boots,
but i really hate the cold.

i make a lot of lists.

something about a baseball player captures my heart.

i could live off of popsicles and pickles.

if i could, i'd always be barefooted.

staying up all night is easy-peasy to me,
but waking up early is a whole different story.

i want to be a kindergarten teacher or child psychiatrist.

bridger, easton, and raylan will be my sons' names.

(if i have girls, they're out of luck.. i have no names!)

i bite the nail polish off my nails.. awful habit.

it's safe to say that,
i know more about college football than a lot of guys.

i worry that i won't ever get married.
(which would be awful.)

school brings out the true nerd in me.

the smells of fresh cut grass and gas are my favorite.

i have six best friends, all of them are guys except this girl.

my daddy is the funniest person on the planet.

(at least i think so.)

i can't stand to hear the microwave beep when it reaches 0.

one tree hill is my favorite show ever.

i tell people i'm allergic to cats,
but i really just dislike them.

my hair is obnoxiously straight,
and if i curl it, it'll fall in minutes.

looking at quotes is the best.

i'd pick apple cider over hot chocolate.

my email gets checked at least ten times a day.

i would rather be at the beach than anywhere else.

helping people gives me immense joy.

i kind of dislike when people call me mallory,
because most everyone just calls me mal.

i have a goofy laugh, which sounds like a pterodactyl.

my siblings mean the world to me.

well - i could go on forever,
but i won't for y'alls sake, haha.

we've all said it.

we've all said this, right?

provo tabernacle painting.

the provo tabernacle caught on fire this weekend,

which is absolutely devastating.

so many things that were burnt can never be replaced.

however, they found a painting that was all burnt

except for a small portion where Christ is seen.

i can't even explain how amazing that is.
